My wife and I live in Pahrump, NV and
jumped at the chance to see someone I have admired for years. Billy Ray
Cyrus, but what made this night even more special is that it happens to be my
birthday. Being a fan club member I was able to get Meet-n-Greets to go back
stage and meet BRC in person. This makes the night one of the best birthday
celebrations I have ever had.
When we met Billy that in itself was
great, I thanked him for playing at my B-day party and we both laughed. He
then told me it was an honor. I also got a picture with him and an autograph,
and then we went to our seats. The show was held at The Star of the Desert
Arena in Pimm, NV. Which is a great venue to see a show becaues there isn't a
bad seat to be found it is very up-close and personal.
The show started on time and
BRC AND SLYDOG
were outstanding. The set list was full of the older hits we all remember, and
he also showcased his newest soon to be smash release "Home At Last". He also
did several tracks from the CD Including "Ready, Set, Don't Go", "Flying By",
"The Buffalo" and even the Van Morrison cover "Brown Eyed Girl". He also did my
Favorite "Some Gave All, Words By Heart" The show lasted around 90 minutes,
BRC AND SLYDOG had
the people eating out of the palms of their hands and singing along with
virtually every song, at least I know I was.
No one could leave their seats as BRC
kept the entertainment level to an extreme with every song he sang. As the
night came to a close I think he left everyone in awe and the show could not
have been better, but in Cyrus style he came back for an encore and preformed
"They Call Me The Breeze". That finished the night and it was the best birthday
party I have ever had.
We left the show knowing that some really
do give all. On this night it was BRC AND SLYDOG, they
truly Gave us their All... After the show was over BRC stayed
and signed autographs for all the fans that stayed which seemed like most of the
venue...
